The Progress Pride flag was developed in 2018 by artist Daniel Quasar. Based on the rainbow-pride flag from 1978 and the Transgender Pride Flag from 1999 Daniel combined both designs along with black and brown colors to highlight people of black and brown color living with or who have died from HIV/Aids. Daniel also reshaped the flag into a chevron to represent the need to move forward.
